About the Movie

Your Legacy is More Than a Name

Creed is the first of three films spun off from characters created by Sylvester Stallone, bringing a new chapter to the Rocky universe.

While originally intended as a standalone spinoff, some longtime fans consider it Rocky VII since it continues Rocky Balboa’s story—this time as a mentor rather than a fighter. No longer the Heavyweight Champion of the World, Rocky is now a lonely widower who finds himself stepping into Mickey’s old role, training a new generation in the ring.

With a script written by Ryan Coogler and Aaron Covington, Creed introduces a fresh, modern perspective while keeping ties to the past. The film brings in a new lead, Michael B. Jordan, who takes on the role of Adonis Creed, the son of Apollo Creed. This next-generation fighter has a lot to prove—not just in the ring, but in carving out a legacy of his own.

Delphi Boxing Academy

(Philadelphia) Meant to be Apollo’s home gym in Los Angeles, this place is really in Philly.
